1. The Return of the Friday Food Trucks
It seems that even in the wake of COVID, the food truck craze is here to stay.
The monthly Friday Food Trucks rally made its official return to downtown Garden City in July, with new social-distancing strategies implemented, and are slated to continue. As part of the new social distancing rules, the tables and chairs that were present in the past are now absent. Instead, patrons are encouraged to enjoy the rally’s wide slate of offerings on a “to-go” basis.
All the same, local residents were excited to see the Friday Food Trucks make their return, and sampling their menus will quickly show you why.
2. Peddlers Market
Another annual tradition that will be making its return in defiance of COVID, is Garden City’s yearly Peddlers Market.
Set for October 24th and 25th, it will be indoors with free admission. Plan on spending the day browsing and shopping for the best antiques, handmade crafts, collectables and baked goods. . And naturally, social distancing and other COVID protocols will be in effect to ensure a safe, fun day for everyone.
With something for youngsters and adults alike, the Peddlers Market is the perfect way to experience the season in Garden City.
3. Sip N Shop Downtown Merchants
If shopping is more to your preference, then Garden City is only too able to accommodate you. And while there’s never a bad time to take a stroll through the shops downtown, the best opportunity to do so is during the Fall Sip N Shop event.
An annual tradition, the Sip N Shop will fall on November 14th this year. The event includes all kinds of special offers from local restaurants and businesses, extended shopping hours, and live entertainment
