The KU Natural History Museum’s pop-up Mobile Museum will travel to Salina, Great Bend, and Garden City in July 2019. Youth and families in these Kansas communities will have the opportunity to explore natural history collections up close and learn about fossils through a donor-funded outreach project. These outreach events will feature displays of more than 90 species, plus hands-on paleontology activities. The KU NHM mobile museum will be visiting Garden City at the Lee Richardson Zoo on Sunday, July 14, from 12-4pm. This fun and educational program is free to all visitors. Program activities include a paleontology dig pit, making your own trace fossils, and more! A representative from the Finney County Public Library will also be there with additional activities!
