The Western Kansas Child Advocacy Center (WKCAC) is busily planning their 2nd annual production of It’s a Wonderful Life – The Radio Play on December 14th at 6:00 pm. The proceeds help support the Finney County children and families served by WKCAC. It promises to be a fun-filled night of great food, beverages, amazing entertainment, and a silent auction.
The WKCAC helps children heal from trauma of physical and/or sexual abuse or due to being a witness of a violent crime. We do this by providing them with services such as advocacy, forensic interviewing, and therapy. All in a child-friendly place. These services are at no cost to the children and their families.
You may be wondering what a radio play is. Imagine it is the 1950’s: instead of sitting around the radio at home listening to your favorite drama, you and your family and friends are in the LIVE STUDIO AUDIENCE! You get to watch the radio play happen in real time—see the remarkable cast acting, the Foley artists creating the sound effects, and the musicians setting the mood!
