MUSEUM PROGRAM MARCH 15 FOCUSING ON FLOOD OF 1965
Exhibits and offices closed March 14, but open regular hours before & after
The one-day closing is for follow-up after the Fourth Annual Southwest Kansas Antiques Appraisal Fair, which is taking place March 12. Museum exhibits and offices will be open regular hours before and after that date.
Exhibit hours are 1-5 p.m. seven days weekly, and office hours run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Admission is free and information is available at 620-272-3664. The museum is located at 403 S. Fourth in Finnup Park.
The “Evening at the Museum” program, also free, is the third 2016 session in a series of history programs set at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month, January through April and September through November. The topic is “Under Water, The Flood of 1965,” and it will be presented by Johnetta Hebrlee, museum education coordinator.
Those who attend are welcome to bring their dinner, if desired, and should use the north door rather than the exhibit entrance. The museum staff will provide beverages and dessert. The evening series is sponsored by Kansas Chapter 62 of the AT&T Pioneers. committee leader; Carla Algrim, Rosemary Corbett, Keith Downer, Barbara Goss, Beth Tedrow and John Wheeler.
