Project Fight For Life A Mental Health Awareness Event

As some of you may know one of our co-owners, Cody teaches Psychology at GCCC. We thought it would be best to address this event and explain some things about it.

“I have had friends and family members pass away due to complications of depression. If you have been following us for awhile it’s probably no surprise that we are very passionate about Mental Health Awareness at Hidden Trail Brewing. Between our memorial brew, Preston’s Sliced Wit, used to raise funds for mental health efforts in Finney County, to our Food Truck Posts encouraging people to speak out about emotions and offering uplifting messages.

Project Fight for Life: A Mental Health Awareness Event is the next step in our efforts toward bringing awareness to and combating Mental Health Deficiencies. A friend of mine reached out with the idea of doing something for September, suicide awareness month, and thought Hidden Trail would be the perfect location. It continues our mission as a business of being a place for everyone while being open to a multitude of events while also continuing our passion project mission of trying to help our community.

We will be rolling out more detailed information in the coming days. It is already an event that I am very excited for and proud of that I hope becomes a yearly tradition for us. We are still very fluid with this event and willing to accept ideas/help and will try to work with any interested parties. As of now, I am very happy with the lineup! We currently have three speakers, three musical acts, there is art being donated for a silent auction, and various ideas/ways to continue promoting mental health awareness in Finney County. I look forward to announcing the speakers, musical acts, and parties involved in the coming days, but for now, please know that this event is going to be a special cup of chicken soup for the mind. Take care of yourself, take care of others, after all, we are all just walking each other home.”
