National Night Out

The Garden City Police Department invites neighbors, community groups, and businesses to join us in celebrating the 40th annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

The Garden City Police Department joins 17,000 communities across the country in the annual campaign that enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. National Night Out is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and locally by the Garden City Police Department.

National Night Out is a night to stand together and promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity. Many neighborhoods throughout Garden City will host various special events such as block parties, cookouts, youth activities, and visits by first responders.

Contact Community Services Officer Troy Davis at (620) 276-1361 to register your block party and schedule a visit from your local first responders during National Night Out. As a reminder, if your block would like to have barricades in place for National Night Out, contact Anita Garcia at (620) 276-1200, Ext. 729, at least two weeks in advance to request them and the procedures for doing so.
