Garden City Wind
It’s summer, and you know what that means. That means BASEBALL.
The Garden City Wind are part of the Pecos Professional Baseball League. They play home games at Clint Lightner Stadium, in Finnup Park on the south side of Garden City.
Clint Lightner Stadium features an artificial infield turf, making it one of the best playing surfaces in eastern Colorado or western Kansas.
The Garden City Wind play a competitive 70-game schedule that lasts from May through July, against tough divisional teams like the Trinidad, Colorado Triggers and the Santa Fe, New Mexico Fuego.
The remainder will be played against the League’s southern division comprised of the Alpine, Texas Cowboys, the Roswell, New Mexico Invaders and the White Sands, New Mexico Pupfish.
